- PUBLISHING ACTIVITIES - JSME Journals (JSME-J) *FREE　 ACCESS　From Vol 1, No.1 of all Journals to present 　  ■J-STAGE：　http://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/ In response to the globalization of technological and academic information exchange, diversification of academic activities in the field of mechanical engineering, and demand for more rapid communication of information, the JSME switched from publication of  the JSME International Journal to English-launguage electronic versions of the titles shown on the left (publicly accessible free of change). The journals are edited and published independently by the JSME's individual divisions, whose editorial boards are responsible for receiving, reviewing, and publishing papers electronically. The new electronic journals' content is of a level that one world expect of international titles, and it is hoped that they will grow into leading international journals with higher impact factors and circulation in the future. It also serves to promote communication among the members.  Transactions of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (Monthly, in Japanese) Transactions publishes three volumes of original research papers every month. It has earned an esteemed reputation throughout Japan's engineering community.

Other Publications The Society has produced many other publications, including handbooks, data compilations, and JSME Standards. Of particular note is the Mechanical Engineering Handbook, which has been an indispensable guide to all types of engineers for more than half a century. In addition, more than 120 books have been produced for the Society by other publishers.
