How to get to the AIST from Tokyo
Station by Highway Bus
When you arrive at the Tokyo Station, please look for bus stop #3 at the Yaesu South Exit (In Japanese is ). Take the highway bus for Tsukuba Center, but not the bus for Tsukuba-san that goes to Mt. Tsukuba and leaves from the same bus stop. At this bus stop, there are five destinations, each marked by a different colored line on the pavement. The bus for Tsukuba Center is the light green line that is middle line or the third line from the left. The destination signs are on the front of the bus and right side of the bus door.

A one-way ticket costs JPY 1,150.
The express bus goes straight to Tsukuba City then stops at the following six places.
1. Namiki Ohashi
2. Namiki Ni chome (In Japanese is ) --> AIST: Conference Venue
3. Namiki Ichi chome
4. Sengen Ichi chome
5. Takezono Ni chome
6. Tsukuba Bus Terminal (Tsukuba Center).
The nearby bus stop of the AIST is Namiki Ni chome. Please push the button above your seat to notify the bus driver that you would like the bus to stop.
You can walk to the hotel after arriving at Tsukuba Bus Terminal.
Access to AIST from Hotel, Tsukuba Station & Tsukuba Bus Terminal
1. For those who stay in the Okura Frontier Hotel Tsukuba Epochal, the conference shuttlebus is available free of charge in the morning on May 31st and June 1st. Also, the free shuttlebus is available from the conference site to the hotel in the evening after the scientific sessions on May 31st and June 1st.

2. Take the Kanto Tetsudo Bus (In Japanese is ) going to "Arakawaoki (In Japanese is )" or "Ami Chuo Kominkan (In Japanese is )" from platform 4 at Tsukuba Bus Terminal.
Get off at Namiki Ni-chome (In Japanese is ).
Walk for approximately 5 minutes to AIST Information Technique Collaboration Research Center (see "Map of AIST Central").
The timetable of the local bus service is as follows.

The ticket costs JPY 270.
The express bus goes straight to Tsukuba City then stops at the following six places.
3. Take the free AIST shuttlebus from platform 9 or 10 at Tsukuba Bus Terminal. Please note that the shuttlebus is a small vehicle and it may not be able to carry all passengers who are waiting.
Walk for approximately 3 minutes to AIST Information Technique Collaboration Research Center (see "Map of AIST Central").

4. Take a taxi to AIST Central. It should take approximately 15 minetes.
