For promoting the study of various fields ＞of biomechanical engineering and the cooperative research works between ＞these societies, the KSB-JSME joint issues were published in 2011 and ＞2012, while a TSB-JSME joint issue was also published in 2014 focusing ＞on orthopedic biomechanics. To further encourage international academic ＞cooperation through the exchange of knowledge among JSME, KSB and TSB, ＞the first JSME-KSB-TSB joint issue was published in 2017 focusing on ＞“Showcase of researches from JSME, KSB, and TSB”. ＞ Here we plan to publish the second JSME-KSB-TSB joint issue to enhance ＞continuous knowledge exchange among JSME, KSB and TSB. This joint issue ＞will cover a wide range of topics in biomechanical engineering and ＞related scientific fields. Although it is a hard time for all of us due ＞to the COVID-19 pandemic, we hope that scientific activity will be ＞increased through this joint issue. Papers from members of JSME, KSB and ＞TSB are welcome, but not limited to these societies.
