Presentation

Style of presentation

  • All presentations will be on-line Oral presentations. The type of presentation ("real-time presentation" or "on-demand presentation") will be notified at the same time as the notice of acceptance.

  • 1. Real-time presentation
    Please prepare your presentation slides in advance and present at the date and time assigned in the program. Time of your presentation will be 15 min including a Q&A session.

  • 2. On-demand presentation (9P3, 10P2, and 11P2 is included in the presentation number)
    You are required to prepare a video recording (15 minutes at the most) of your presentation along with your presentation slides and submit it to the conference office in advance. The online conference system Remo (https://remo.co/) will be used for on-demand presentations. Each presenter's presentation number is put on a "table" , and presenters are supposed to put their link of the video files submitted in advance to the whiteboard of the table. Participants can freely watch the videos via the link. Presenters are requested to join their own table during the session and engage in interactive discussions with participants using audio, video, and written communication. For more information on how to enter and exit the sessions and presentation tools, please refer to the following section.

  • 3. Video recording
    All the presentations will be broadcasted on video for a certain period of time in order to allow as many participants as possible to attend the symposium. Please note that we will be recording the presentations in real time for oral sessions. The video recordings will not be used for any purpose other than for the conference. For on-demand oral sessions, we will deliver the videos you submit as they are. The distribution period will be from 9th, Nov. 2021 to 17:00, 27th, Dec., 2021.

  • Please note that your manuscript in the conference proceedings and presentation file will be open on 2nd and 9th, Nov., 2021, respectively.

    How to participate and present in the On-line Conference (Except for On-demand Session)

    How to present in the On-demand Oral Presentation Session

    Presentations with the numbers 9P3, 10P2, and 11P2 in the presentation number are On-demand Oral Presentation and will be held using the online conference tool Remo. Please follow the instructions in the manual below to participate.

    Please note that the Youtube link of your presentation movie will not be automatically put on the whiteboard of your table in advance (changed from the previously announced style). Please put your link to your whiteboard by yourself. The list of links will be held in the special tables in the conference where you can find your link.

    Date of practice on the On-demand Oral Presentation is 8th, Nov., Mon. Participation to the practice is not mandatory. If you would like to practice using Remo before the conference, please read the above mentioned Presenters' Manual and participate in the practice.

    Submission of a video file of On-demand Oral Presentation(Deadline: Oct. 26)

    • Please make a video file of your On-demand Presentation with narration and upload it to the following site by October 26 (Tue.).

    • Videos should be in common file formats such as .mp4, .wmv, .mov, .avi, etc., and should be no larger than 500 MB in size for participants to download and view.
    •   
    • There are no rules on video recording. For example, please record the video as follows.

    • 1. Create presentation slides in Powerpoint (Microsoft PowerPoint).
      2. With the microphone connected to the PC, press "Slide Show" > "Record Slide Show" on the tab.
      3. At this point, you can choose "Record from Current Slide" to create an audio file for each slide, or "Record from Beginning" to create a continuous audio file from the beginning to the end.
      4. The recording screen opens and press the "Start Recording" button to start recording.
      ・Click on the triangle or press Enter key to go to next slide.
      ・Using the pen and eraser tools at the bottom of the screen, you can also write dynamically on the screen in sync with your voice.
      ・Press "Stop Recording" to end the voice recording.
      5. After recording audio, press the tab "File" -> "Export" -> "Create Video" to create a video file (it will take some time).
