    For foreign participants currently living OUTSIDE Japan

    Foreign participants currently living OUTSIDE Japan can attend the conference with discount rates.
    Registration fee:
    regular 15,000JPY
    student 8,000JPY
    Paper submission fee:
    1 paper 0JPY (included in the registration fee)
    2 papers 8,000JPY
    3 papers 16,000JPY
    4 papers 24,000JPY
    5 papers 32,000JPY
    • Banquet fee is included in the registration fee.
    • A printed digest and a conference proceedings on DVD are also included in the registration fee.
    • All participants can attend the conference with or without presentations.

    Participants WITH Presentations

    1. By January 23, 2009, please visit the Presentation Registration Page to provide the information on the paper you are planning to submit (title, authors, abstract, etc.).

    2. Next (preferably by January 24, 2009), please send us () your information, including:
      • ID of the paper(s) you have just registered
      • Name
      • Affiliation/Department
      • Address
      • State, ZIP code
      • Country
      • Fax number
      • E-mail address

    3. Then we will send you an ID and a password to access the Paper Submission Page.

    4. By March 20, 2009, please upload your paper to the Paper Submission Page .

    5. At the conference site, please make the payment of the registration fee (15,000JPY for regular participants, 8,000JPY for students) and the paper submission fee (if you submit more than one papers) at the registration desk by cash (only JPY) or credit cards (only VISA).

    Participants WITHOUT Presentations

    1. By April 24, 2009, please send us () your information, including:

      • Fax number
      • E-mail address

    We very much welcome papers and presentations in English, but the above discount rates do not apply if you are currently living IN Japan. The procedure for registration and paper submission is the same as the one for domestic participants. All participants can attend the conference with or without presentations.

    • The early registration deadline is April 24, 2009.
    • The registration fee includes a printed digest and a conference proceedings on DVD are included.

    • Submission of a paper requires the early registration of at least one of the authors.
    • Members of JSME and the supporting societies can receive the "member" discount described above.

    Participants WITH Presentations

    Participants WITHOUT Presentations

    1. By April 24, 2009, please make an early registration at the Registration Page. (This page is available only in Japanese language. Please ask your Japanese colleagues for help or contact us at .)
    Even if you miss the early registration deadline, you can still register at the conference site with the "on-site" registration fee described above.
