The total number of enrollments has reached approximately 6300 (as of July 2010), combining the number of registrants who have ranked Dynamics, Measurement and Control (DMC) Division as their first, second or third preference. In the past three years from 2007 to 2009, the division has conducted four lecture meetings (total of 1,958 participants), 11 symposiums (total of 1,504 participants), two international conferences (total of 263 participants), 17 seminars (total of 730 participants) to support academic growth and as a development business. As in the academic and technology domains that the DMC specializes in, the division has established Research subcommittees in 2008 to deal with timely topics that respond to the demands of the times, and has 29 study groups (as of July, 2010) which have been actively engaged in activities to deal with the wider range of areas. What is particularly noteworthy, in terms of publication and dissemination of academic results, is that the DMC division converted the collection of papers from the division lecture meetings to CD-ROM at an early stage, which significantly improved the search for papers. The DMC division is striving to enrich its web content and is not only publishing the latest news on the division activities and information about research subcommittees and study groups on timely basis, but also preparing to publish information on all activities conducted by the division in the past.
In the aspect of external activities, the DMC division has not only organized two international conferences as mentioned above, but has also jointly hosted five out of 11 symposiums mentioned above with other related academic societies in the country. The DMC division has coordinated 27 cross-divisional OS at annual general meetings, from 2007 to 2009 and is actively collaborating with other divisions.
Furthermore, in terms of revitalization activities, the division is offering registration system benefits for its registered members, such as publishing exclusive newsletters on regular basis and distributing information using mailing list besides actively promoting the activities mentioned above. Additionally, every year awards are given to the outstanding registrants in recognition of academic and technical achievements and those who have contributed to the activities of the division. In achieving fiscal soundness, the division lecture meeting (Dynamics & Design Conference) with an average of 600 participants each time is recognized for its high degree of contribution.
