Author Information

Information for Chairpersons and Presenters

  • Each presentation is allocated 20 minutes (15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for discussion). Since the session schedule is very tight, presentation and discussion must fit within a 20 minute time slot.
  • Upon arrival at the conference, please complete your registration at the On-site registration desk for presence confirmation, and collect the conference materials.

    Chairperson’s Guide
    • Please arrive at the “Chairperson’s Seat” at least 10 minutes before the start of your session, and make sure of the presence of the presenters.
    • Your cooperation for the careful time keeping would be highly appreciated.
    • You are supposed to evaluate all the presentations except for your paper in the session for the best presentation awards.
    Presenter's Guide
    • Please arrive at the session room at least 10 minutes before the start of your session, and greet the session chair(s).
    • Presenters are encouraged to use their own computers to avoid trouble running video or audio files. Please confirm that the slides or videos are displayed properly before the session begins (The Day Before the presentation is preferable).
    • When making your presentation, please operate the computer on the podium by yourself.
    • A projector is available in the session room for the presentation.
    • If an emergency arises before the presentation, please notify the conference staff in your session room.

Visa Support

In addition to a valid passport, some foreign nationals are required to obtain a visa, issued by the Japanese Embassy in your country, to enter Japan. Due to the official nature of letter of invitation for visa, prior registration including full payment is required. Please note that letter of invitation will only be issued to the author of the papers accepted by MOVIC2014 Program Chair.

Full Paper Submission

All authors of accepted abstracts are kindly requested to submit a full-length paper for review through the MOVIC2014 website by February 17 2014 March 3 2014.

The number of pages per manuscript is 12 pages or less.
The manuscript should be submitted in PDF within 4MB.

Invited Session Proposal

The program committee encourages the submission of invited sessions with sets of about six invited papers on a well-defined subject of current interest. The invited papers must present original, unpublished work. An invited session should present a cohesive and comprehensive focus on a topic relevant to the scope of the conference. It may start with a tutorial presentation which can be allotted a double time slot. All papers in invited sessions will be subject to review and assessment by the Program Committee. An invited session will be accepted only if the session itself and its contributed papers are accepted. Accepted papers of a non-accepted invited session will be included in regular sessions.
