Electric Hand Planer “Model 1000”

The “Model 1000” portable electric planer significantly reduced the laborious work of planing in carpentry work, and initiated the subsequent electrical conversion of other carpentry tools. This machine is a handsaw suited to Japanese carpentry, and can be used at the regular voltage of 100 V. A planer body that could rotate 13,000 times per minute had two 120-mm-wide planing blades attached, and by rotating at a high speed of 26,000 times per minute, could cleanly cut even interlocked grain, whether hardwood or softwood.
