Electric Arc Spray Gun in the early era of thermal spraying

Japanese thermal spraying technology was introduced by Kenjiro Ezawa of Tenshodo and patented in 1921 . Based on this technology, Kyozo Tateishi was the first to commercialize thermal spraying in Japan, and he established what was then referred to as Shinco Metalicon Industrial in 1935.
The oldest electric arc spray gun, manufactured by this company in 1955, and two electric arc spray guns with improvements, added in 1963, are preserved and exhibited by this company.
Currently, thermal spraying technology is utilized for a wide range of applications, including rust prevention, heat resistance, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance.
