趣旨

ITの浸透が人々の生活をあらゆる面で良い方向に変化させるデジタルトランスフォーメーション、つまりデジタルへの変革は、グローバルに展開される製品開発において、その設計と生産における重要な鍵を握る。たとえ経済システムや地域が異なったとしても、このデジタルへの変革を支える文化的、産業的背景と結びつくことにより、製品開発だけでなく、社会生活においても強力な影響を及ぼす変革が生まれる。例えば、インダストリー4.0で製造業に変革を巻き起こしているドイツと、ソサイエティ5.0で社会のデジタル変革を巻き起こしている日本、この2カ国間のデジタルへの変革の着目点に多少の相違点はある。しかし、IoTによるデジタル変革を学際性、接続性、ネットワーク性の観点から見た時、直面する共通の課題があり、その解決策を連携して考えることの意義は大きい。本シンポジウムでは、日独の研究者が一堂に会してIoTに共通する課題を明らかにし、それぞれの異なる視点からの深い議論を通じて、デジタルへの変革に関する将来を展望することを目的とする。

Objective:

The digital transformation is one of the key challenges of global product development and production. But it also has a significant impact on society and each individual. Depending on the cultural and industrial background, this transformation has divers effects on the different economic systems and areas.

Germany has its particular challenge of Industry 4.0 in the digital transformation of manufacturing, whereas Japan faces its particular challenges of Society 5.0 in the digital formation of society. Even though there are slightly different focal points in both countries, the nature of digitalization and especially IoT, i.e. interdisciplinarity, connectivity and networking, brings up many questions which need to be answered and addressed globally. This symposium offers the opportunity for researchers from both countries, Japan and Germany, to identify and define areas of interest, share ideas from different perspectives through in-depth discussion and plan mutual research projects.
